Aeros goalie Josh Harding, expected to return to the team for the 2006 Calder Cup Playoffs, improved his NHL record to 2-0-0 tonight with a 27-save shutout of Chicago as the Minnesota Wild beat the Blackhawks 2-1 at Xcel Energy Center.
Harding, who beat St. Louis 5-4 in a shootout a week ago in his NHL debut, made eight saves in the first period, nine in the second and 10 in the third.
He was backed by a goal apiece from former Aeros teammates Stephane Veilleux and Pierre-Marc Bouchard. Harding helped the Wild kill off a five-minute major penalty to Veilleux in the third period.
