MINNESOTA WILD OWNS TWO OF THE FIRST 17 PICKS
IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE 2006 NHL ENTRY DRAFT
CLUB OWNS THE NINTH AND 17TH OVERALL SELECTIONS IN THIS YEAR’S DRAFT

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild currently owns eight picks in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, including the ninth and 17th selections in the first round. The seven round 2006 NHL Entry Draft will be held on Saturday, June 24 starting at 5:00 PM (CDT) at General Motors Place in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Round 1 – 9th overall

Round 1 – 17th overall (from EDM)*

Round 2 – 40th overall

Round 3 – 72nd overall

Round 4 – 102nd overall

Round 5 – 132nd overall

Round 6 – 162nd overall

Round 7 – 192nd overall



*Minnesota acquired Edmonton’s 2006 first round draft pick in exchange for Dwayne Roloson.
