MINNESOTA WILD REASSIGNS D ERIK REITZ TO HOUSTON AEROS
SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned D Erik Reitz to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Reitz, 24 (7/29/82), was recalled by the Wild on Jan. 17 and logged 10:36 of ice-time and a plus-1 rating in Minnesota’s 3-0 win at Chicago on Friday. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound defenseman has recorded 16 points (3-13=16) and 80 penalty minutes (PIM) in 36 contests with the Aeros this season. The Detroit, Mich.-native has appeared in six career NHL contests with the Wild and recorded four penalty minutes. Reitz was originally selected by Minnesota in the sixth round (170th overall) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. Reitz was a member of the Aeros’ Calder Cup championship team in 2002-03.
