AEROS’ 2007-08 SCHEDULE IS ANNOUNCED
Houston begins season at home October 6 against Chicago
HOUSTON, Texas – The Houston Aeros, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, have announced their 2007-08 regular season schedule. The Aeros will open up their 14th season on Saturday, Oct. 6, at Toyota Center at 7:35 p.m. against the arch-rival Chicago Wolves.
The Aeros’ 40-game home schedule is highlighted by 29 weekend dates – one more than last season – plus a new 4:05 p.m. start time for the team’s eight Sunday tilts. The schedule features 7:05 p.m. game times Monday-Thursday, 7:35 p.m. starts Friday and Saturday and 4:05 p.m. Sunday start times.
The Aeros will play in-state rival San Antonio 10 times (five home, five road), down from a total of 12 in each of the first five AHL seasons. Houston will see Iowa, Milwaukee, Peoria and Quad City eight times each (four home, four road), while squaring off with long-time rival Chicago and Rockford six times (three home, three road). Out of the Eastern Conference, the Aeros will play Lake Erie and Manitoba four times each (two home, two road), and Grand Rapids, Hamilton, Rochester, Syracuse, Toronto, Hartford, Providence, Springfield and Worcester twice each (one home, one road). The Aeros will play 27 of their 40 home games and 54 of their 80 overall games against the West Division.
The Aeros play four other October home games, including a Saturday, Oct. 13 tilt against Peoria. The Rockford IceHogs make their first trip to Toyota Center on Wednesday, Oct. 17.
The Lake Erie Monsters play their first ever games in Houston on Friday, Nov. 2 and Sunday, Nov. 4. November is highlighted by a three-game homestand Thanksgiving week, including the day-after-Thanksgiving game on Friday, Nov. 23 against Milwaukee.
Houston plays just three home games in December, but they are all great matchups, including Springfield’s first-ever trip to Toyota Center on Saturday, Dec. 22 and the traditional day-after-Christmas game against San Antonio Wednesday, Dec. 26.
The Aeros host eight of their 10 January games at Toyota Center, including the first five of a seven-game homestand Saturday, Jan. 12-Saturday, Feb. 2. The stretch includes North Division foes Manitoba, Toronto and Hamilton, and two games apiece against San Antonio and Quad City.
But Houston’s next six February games are on the road, beginning a stretch of 10-of-12 away from Toyota Center to conclude February.
The Aeros play 11 of their 40 home games in March, including a nine-game homestand March 4-21. It kicks of with Providence’s first trip to Houston since the 2001-02 season, on Tuesday, March 4. Two straight games against each Rockford, Quad City and Chicago finish off the homestand.
On March 29, the Aeros begin a season-long eight-game road trip, including three games in Milwaukee, before finishing off the regular season against the Admirals on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13. Five of the Aeros’ last nine games will come against Milwaukee.
Houston plays three games in three nights eight times – up from seven in 2006-07. The Aeros have two long homestands – nine games (March 4-21) and seven games (January 12-February 2). Houston’s nine-game homestand matches its longest in team history. The Aeros have three road trips of six games or longer, including the season-long eight-game jaunt March 29-April 11.

· Select "Import from another program or file" and click Next.
· Select "Comma Separated Values (Windows)" and click Next.
· Find the 0708HOUcal.csv file you just downloaded and select "Do not import duplicate items" and click Next.
· Select Calendar and click Next.
· The next window will have a title that says 'The following actions will be performed:' above an option to 'Import "0708HOUcal.csv" into folder: Calendar.'
· Check the box to the left and click on 'Import "0708HOUcal.csv" into folder: 'Calendar'
· Click Finish
· Synchronize your palm or handheld device to your computer if so desired.
Some people may have to make sure an option for Outlook has been downloaded off the Microsoft CD that came with your computer.
