MINNESOTA WILD REASSIGNS LW POULIOT TO HOUSTON
SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. –Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) team has reassigned left wing
Benoit Pouliot to the American Hockey League’s (AHL)
Houston Aeros.
Pouliot, 21 (9/29/86), has skated in three games with the Wild since his November 1 recall, averaging 6:25 of ice-time without registering a point. He appeared in three games last season with the Wild, while accumulating two assists and 14 PIM in seven games with the Aeros this season. The 6-foot-3, 199-pound native of Alfred, Ont., was Minnesota’s first-round pick (No. 4 overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Pouliot made his NHL debut with the Wild at Montreal on Nov. 22, 2006.
The Aeros are on the road Thursday and Friday nights at Milwaukee and Quad City. Come see Pouliot’s return to Houston to play the Worcester Sharks in their only trip of the season to Houston this
Saturday at 7:35 p.m. in Toyota Center. Saturday night also marks the
Aeros' Military Night to salute our nations heros. The first 3,000 fans through the doors will receive an Aeros Mini Helmet in honor of the evening.
