MINNESOTA WILD REASSIGNS C STEVE KELLY TO AEROS
HOUSTON, Texas – Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned C
Steve Kelly to the
Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Kelly, 31 (10/26/76), played in two games with the Wild, totaling 7:27 TOI before suffering an ankle injury March 13 versus New Jersey. This marked the first time Kelly has been in the NHL since playing in three games with Los Angeles during the 2003-04 season. Kelly posted 28 points (10-18=28) in 47 games with the Aeros this season.
Before Houston’s run to the playoffs the club will return home for the last two games of the regular season this weekend, April 12-13 against the Milwaukee Admirals. The Aeros and Admirals are currently tied for third in the division so this weekend will determine the playoff seeding!
