The girls were cut down to groups of four to perform in front of the judges. I was able to sneak a quick interview with Sharron Melton before the girls returned:

"It’s been a blast, its nice to see some energetic people who are fun and want to be a part of something really big.“
“What [the Aero Dynamics] do is they energize the crowd but they’re also representatives of the organization to the community. It’s a big responsibility for these young ladies to take a part in this and I look forward to see who is going to be able to carry that mantle for awhile.“

“Talent is great, it really is, even for those who have been dancers before, they had some competition today so they had to step up their game too. I think whoever is going to be a part of this squad, for the fans its going to be wonderful because these girls, they’ve got it, they’re energetic and the fans are going to love them.”


** The girls are in the midst of a short break after learning the dance. They will be back to perform in front of the judges shortly. ** The girls are back from lunch and ready to go. Choreography is underway after a warm up dance to the fan favorite "Jump On It" by Sir Mix-a-Lot. Tiffany is teaching the choreography to the group who is slowly but surely learning it. I was just told that the team will be announced today so stay tuned for the official announcement of the team.

We would like to thank Starbucks for providing coffee and pastries in the morning. Also like to thank Francisco Hernandez and his staff from Chick-fil-A for providing lunch and Great American Cookies for providing the excellent cookies (mine is the m&m chocolate chip). Finally we would like to thank the Houston Center.


** The first round of auditions are over. Everyone will now take a break for about an hour for lunch and then reconvene around 1:00 for the group performance. Jason is working hard uploading the photos so we will have links to the photos from the morning auditions soon.


** Everyone is invited out here to Park Shops at the Houston Center. The restaurants are open so come grab lunch and watch the auditions that will continue through the afternoon.


** The dancers continue to come through one by one. The audition begins with a few questions asked by Sharron Melton and the girls follow with their one minute routine. We had some technical issues with one of the performers but luckily we have found a solution so she will be back out soon. Our photographer, Jason Villanueva, has been clicking photographs like a madman so hopefully we will be able to get some posted soon.


** We are officially underway here as the first audition is complete and the judges are making their marks. We have six judges today, including Sharron Melton from the ABC-13 Morning News Team.


** Good morning, Robert Desimone checking in here from Park Shops at the Houston Center. Registration has officially begun for the 2009-10 Aero Dynamics. Many of the girls are already here, as is our mascot, Chilly. Stay tuned throughout the day as I continue to update all the events including photos from the auditions.
