The Admirals jumped out to a 1-0 lead 8:52 into the first period. C Nick Spaling entered the Aeros zone on the right wing and sent a centering pass through the first wave of players to the tape of Thuresson who one-timed it past Brust for his eighth of the season.

The teams played to a scoreless second period where Houston out-shot Milwaukee 11-7. The Aeros had numerous chances including a brief 5-on-3 power play, but Dekanich stood tall in net to keep the 1-0 lead heading to the third period.

Houston came out strong early in the final frame, generating scoring chances in the Admirals zone including a partial break for LW Petr Kalus, but his shot was stopped by Dekanich and Milwaukee countered moments later. Former Minnesota Wild LW Peter Olvecky found RW Hugh Jessiman streaking into the Aeros zone on the left wing. The initial shot was stopped by Brust but the rebound was centered by Jessiman to a falling Ford, who fired the shot past Brust to give Milwaukee a 2-0 lead at 5:23. The Aeros were unable to generate steady offense over the final 15 minutes of the third period and were shutout for the second time in as many games.

Milwaukee outshot Houston 29-25 on the night, the Aeros finished 0-for-3 on the power play while the Admirals went 0-for-1. The Aeros have now been shutout in back-to-back games for the first time this season. Houston's scoreless streak is at 120 minutes since RW J-M Daoust's overtime game-winning-goal vs. Grand Rapids last Saturday. Houston's longest scoreless streak this season is 126:14 (October 17-24, 2009).

The Aeros continue their road 3-in-3 tomorrow night in Chicago for a 7 p.m. puck drop with the Wolves at Allstate Arena. Houston finishes the trip Sunday in Peoria for a 5 p.m. game at Carver Arena against the Rivermen. The Aeros return home to Toyota Center Thursday, Feb. 25 for a 7:05 puck drop against the Manitoba Moose so be sure to check out the "Spring Fling" deal on aeros.com.
