HOUSTON - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has re-signed goaltender Anton Khudobin (who-DOH-bin) to a one-year, two-way contract.
Khudobin, 24 (5/7/86), went 2-0-0 with a 0.86 GAA and a .979 SV% in two games with the Wild in 2009-10. He won his NHL debut in relief, Feb. 4 against Edmonton, playing 9:33 without allowing a goal. Khudobin also made 38 saves in a 2-1 win over Philadelphia on Feb. 6 in his first NHL start. Khudobin went 14-19-4 with a 2.43 GAA, a .907 SV% and four shutouts in 40 games with Houston of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2009-10. Khudobin, a native of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan, was Minnesota’s seventh-round pick (No. 206 overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
