AEROS’ Q-ROUND PLAYOFF TICKETS ON SALE SATURDAY

Houston could punch playoff ticket, home ice as early as Friday

Houston, TX – The Houston Aeros announced Wednesday that tickets for Games A and B of the best-of-three West Division Qualifying Round will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Toyota Center Box Office, online at www.aeros.com, by calling 1.866.GO.AEROS or at select Randall’s locations. The box office will remain open through Saturday’s 7 p.m. Fan Appreciation Night game against the Grand Rapids Griffins, and for a period of time following the game’s completion.

Game A of the Qualifying Round would be played Thursday, April 15, at 7 p.m. Game B would be Saturday, April 17, at 7 p.m. Game C, if necessary, is set for Sunday, April 18, at 5 p.m. Should Games A and B not be played, tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase. They can also be exchanged for tickets to the Division Semifinal Round should the Aeros go on the road for the Qualifying Round and emerge victorious.

Houston is three points from clinching its eighth straight playoff berth. Should San Antonio lose in Chicago tonight, the Aeros would need just one point over their final two games to punch their post-season ticket. Houston would also move into the playoffs if San Antonio loses or ties any of its remaining games after tonight.

The Aeros will likely face either Cincinnati or San Antonio in the Qualifying Round. In order to clinch home ice, Houston needs four points – a combination of Aeros points gained and points lost by the Mighty Ducks, who are in Cleveland tonight. A Barons victory in regulation would lower Houston’s magic number for clinching home ice to two points.

Qualifying Round individual tickets range from $14 to $58. Voucher books for the qualifying series are available in books of 10 and range from $130 to $570. Full playoff strips are still on sale and start at just $238.
