WILD TRADES NYSTROM TO DALLAS
HOUSTON --- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has traded forward Eric Nystrom to the Dallas Stars in exchange for future considerations. Nystrom played in the season-opener for the Houston Aeros on Oct. 9 and had one shot in the 4-1 win over Chicago.
Nystrom, 28 (2/14/83), posted 12 points (4-8=12) while skating in all 82 games for the Wild last season. The 6-foot-1, 204-pound native of Syosset, New York has collected 51 points (23-28=51) and 221 penalty minutes (PIM) in 286 games during five NHL seasons with Calgary and Minnesota.
The Aeros play their first three-in-three set of the season this weekend. On Friday, the team visits the Texas Stars at 7:30 p.m.
On Saturday the Aeros will unveil their 2010-11 AHL Western Conference Championship banner prior to the game, which begins at 7:35 p.m. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive replica banners when the team plays host to the San Antonio Rampage.
