SAN ANTONIO --- Four different Aeros scored goals and Matt Hackett made 38 saves as the Houston Aeros beat the San Antonio Rampage 5-2 on Friday at AT&T Center.
Jeff Taffe's seventh goal of the season at 7:52 of the second period was the eventual game-winner for the Aeros. David McIntyre scored twice for Houston. Cody Almond, Jeff Penner and Jon DiSalvatore also bagged goals for the Aeros, who improved to 11-2-0-2 on the road this season and 18-6-2-7 overall.
Angleo Espostio and Evan Barlow scored for the Rampage.
Houston hosts the Oklahoma City Barons on Sunday at 5:05 p.m. at Toyota Center.
BOMB DROPPINGS
Jeff Penner's empty-net goal was Houston's fourth short-handed goal since Dec. 1.
