Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill today announced that the American Hockey League (AHL) team has signed forward Devin DiDiomete (pronounced dee-dee-oh-MEE-tee) to a professional tryout contract (PTO).

AEROS SIGN DIDIOMETE TO PTO
HOUSTON --- Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill today announced that the American Hockey League (AHL) team has signed forward Devin DiDiomete (pronounced dee-dee-oh-MEE-tee) to a professional tryout contract (PTO).
DiDiomete, 23 (5/9/88), joins the Aeros from the ECHL's Chicago Express. In 25 games with the Express , DiDiomete has nine goals and nine assists for 18 points along with 174 penalty minutes (PIM) and a plus-6 rating.
He played in two games with the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins at the beginning of this season and registered two PIM, and also two points (1-1=2) and two PIM in a pair of the games with the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers.
DiDiomete (pronounced dee-dee-oh-MEE-tee) appeared in 63 games with the Connecticut Whale (AHL) in 2010-11 and posted 303 PIM, good enough for third in the league. The Stratford, ON, native has played 172 total games in the AHL, scoring 21 points (10-11=21) and accruing 663 PIM. He wears sweater No. 32 with the Aeros.
