HOUSTON AEROS BOLSTER STAFF FOR 12TH AHL SEASON
The Aeros Host Opening Night on October 13th

Houston, TX – Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill announced on Thursday the club has added 12 staff members in preparation for the upcoming 2012-13 season.

The team named Josh Fisher as director of communications. In addition, Patrick Felice was added as manager of outside sales and special events, while Joe Goodman was named new business development account executive. The team also added five ticket sales representatives: Steven Korkmas, Billy Orth, Tyler Otwell, Kelton Redpath and Jared Hall. Brandon Brignac will be assisting the Youth and Amateur hockey program. Finally, the team added Jill Montgomery (community programs assistant), Austin Atwood (social media and marketing assistant) and Ricae’ Walker (ticket operations assistant).

Fisher joins the Aeros after spending the last three seasons with the American Hockey League’s Texas Stars. Prior to his time in Cedar Park, he worked for six years in Las Vegas with the ECHL’s Las Vegas Wranglers. During his tenure in Las Vegas, Fisher was selected as the ECHL’s Media Relations Director of the Year in 2006. In all, he brings 13 seasons of professional hockey experience to the Aeros front office.

With five new ticket sales representatives, the team has nearly doubled the ticket sales staff heading into the club’s 12th AHL season. In 2011-12, Houston was fifth in the AHL for overall attendance, welcoming 278,299 hockey fans to the Toyota Center for an average of 7,324 per game. It marked the first time since 1998-99 in which the team averaged over 7,000 fans per game. Since joining the AHL in 2001-02, the Aeros have entertained over three million hockey fans in Houston.

The Aeros will play 76 regular-season games this season. The home portion of the schedule commences on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 7:05 p.m. with the Charlotte Checkers at Toyota Center. The game will commemorate the 40th anniversary of the first Aeros game played by the World Hockey Association (WHA) team in 1972.

Aeros season tickets start as low as $9 per seat and may be purchased online at Aeros.com by placing a $100 deposit. Once your order is processed, an Aeros ticket representative will contact you to choose your exact seat location, as well as discuss the payment options. Single game tickets go on sale at a later date.
