KEN DOUBLE TO HEADLINE BEAUMONT'S JEFFERSON THEATRE

Makes Texas Concert Debut Next Sunday At Famous Pipe Organ

He's been the popular broadcast "Voice of the Houston Aeros", now in his fifth season in that role, but this Sunday, October 10th at 3 p.m., Ken Double will don his other professional hat and make his Texas concert debut. Double will be the headliner at the recently-restored Jefferson Theatre in Beaumont, performing on that theatre's original 1926 Robert Morton pipe organ in an afternoon of "Pops" style music and entertainment.

Following a $6 million restoration, the Jefferson Theatre is truly the crowned jewel of the
Beaumont downtown district, and one of its most endearing features is its original pipe organ. Double's songlist will be akin to pop music history, as he features Broadway, swing, jazz and country in his two-hour concert.

Aeros fans who have seen and heard his video-recorded version of the National Anthem
played at Toyota Center will have their first opportunity to hear this world-acclaimed concert entertainer. He has been doing concerts since 1978, including hundreds of stops across the U.S., Canada and Australia. This is the first of 23 scheduled concerts over the next 12 months. In addition, Double has six CD's to his credit, with two more in the works.

Tickets will be available at the door for the three o-clock performance on Sunday afternoon. Contact the Jefferson Theatre for details.

Also, mark your calendars. Ken Double will make his Houston debut on Sunday, January 30 at Houston Community College-Central Campus. The auditorium at Alabama St. and San Jacinto (the old San Jacinto high school) houses the Mighty Wurlitzer from Houston's Metropolitan Theatre. This fund-raising concert will be the first time in nearly 60 years that this organ has been heard by the public.
