HOUSTON Houston Aeros President and General Manager Dave Barr announced today that the Minnesota Wild (National Hockey League) have reassigned LW Stephane Veilleux to the Aeros.
Veilleux, 21, started the season with Houston and played in two games before being recalled by the Wild on October 17, 2002. He made his NHL debut two nights later and scored his first NHL goal on Oct. 27 against the Colorado Avalanche. Veilleux played in 38 games with the Wild and collected three goals and two assists for five points with 23 penalty minutes.
The Beauceville, Quebec-native spent the 2001-02 season with Houston as a rookie. In 77 games, he tallied 13-22-35. He added 2-4-6 in 14 playoff games. Veilleux will join the Aeros on their road trip, which continues tomorrow in Grand Rapids. Houston has recorded three wins in the first three games of the season-high seven game road trip and has won five in a row overall.
