The fallen astronauts of the Space Shuttle Columbia will be honored for the remainder of the Aeros season. The team will wear an Official Shuttle Columbia Patch STS-107 on their jerseys to remember the loss on February 1st. Houston first wore the patches on Sunday, February 9.
The Mission Patches were purchased from
www.thespacestore.com. This purchase benefits the Columbia Scholarship Fund. The Aeros will also make a monetary contribution to the Columbia Scholarship Fund on Saturday, February 16.
"We realize the tragedy and how it effects the Houston community. We wanted to do the right thing. The team wanted to do something special too," said President and General Manager
