AEROS RECALL FORTUNUS FROM LOUISIANA

Defenseman expected in time for Thursday’s game

HOUSTON, Texas – The Houston Aeros have recalled defenseman Maxime Fortunus from the ECHL’s Louisiana IceGators, the teams announced Wednesday. Fortunus is expected to be available Thursday as the Aeros take on the Rochester Americans at 7:05 p.m.

Fortunus, 21 (7/28/83), has posted five points (1-4=5) and six penalty minutes in 13 games with the IceGators. The 6-foot, 190-pound native of La Prairie, Que., appeared in 12 games last season with Houston, collecting two assists and two penalty minutes. Fortunus spent most of his 2003-04 rookie campaign with Louisiana, totaling 18 points (3-15=18) and 27 penalty minutes in 64 games. Fortunus played his junior hockey with Baie-Comeau of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
