Aeros all over Houston area this weekend

AEROS ALL OVER HOUSTON AREA THIS WEEKEND

HOUSTON, Texas – The Houston Aeros are in the midst of a 13-day break with no games, but that isn’t stopping them from playing a big role in the Houston area this weekend. The following appearances are scheduled:

Friday 8-10 p.m. – Sonic Boom at Sports Resort (11110 ½ W. Airport in Stafford)
Saturday 3-4 p.m. – Brent Burns at The Hockey Stop (6450 Louetta)
Saturday 7-8 p.m. – Patrick Traverse and Todd Reirden at Moody Gardens Festival of Lights in Galveston. Aeros Fan Club members get $1 off the regular $4.95 admission. The players will sign autographs at the outdoor skating rink.
Saturday 6-7 p.m. – Zbynek Michalek and Rickard Wallin at Houston Zoo Winter Wild Festival of Lights. Aeros fans will receive one free child admission (age 12 & under) to the Houston Zoo with a Houston Aeros Ticket stub. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Saturday 8-10 p.m. - Sonic Boom at Uncle Albert’s (6172 Barker Cypress)
Sunday 12:30-2 p.m. – Mikko Koivu and Erik Reitz at Chilly’s Puck Pals Party at Willowbrook Aerodrome. Party open to members only, but memberships available by calling Adrian Cavazos at 713.361.7940.
Sunday 7-8 p.m. – Mark Cullen and Christoph Brandner at Moody Gardens Festival of Lights in Galveston. Aeros Fan Club members get $1 off the regular $4.95 admission. The players will sign autographs at the outdoor skating rink.
Monday 12 p.m. – Houston Aeros Charities and Gillman Chrysler Jeep will present the 10th Annual Houston Aeros Golf Tournament at Greatwood Golf Course in Sugar Land. The tournament, rained out last Monday, benefits Round Up for Autism and Houston Aeros Charities.

The Aeros play at home next Thursday, Dec. 16 (a 7:05 p.m. Aeros “Happy Hour” event) and Saturday, Dec. 18 (7:35 p.m.) against the Norfolk Admirals. Thursday, the men of the 15th annual Houston Fire Fighters Calendar will drop the puck and will also be available to take pictures with fans (cameras not provided). They will also participate in an intermission tug-of-war. For both games, the Aeros are offering a corner ticket plus Fire Fighters Calendar for $25. Order online at www.aeros.com/themenights. For Thursday’s Aeros Happy Hour, get a corner ticket plus free parking for just $15, and enjoy pre- and post-game drink specials ($1 well drinks and drafts) at The Bus II across from Toyota Center. The Saturday game is the Aeros annual Teddy Bear Toss and Toy Drive. Please bring in stuffed animals to throw on the ice after the Aeros' first goal. In addition, new unwrapped toys will be collected at all Toyota Center entrances. All items will benefit the Children's Assessment Center. The first 3,000 fans will also receive a Santa Bobblehead.
