AEROS PLAYERS, DOCTORS BUY THURSDAY TICKETS FOR CHARITY

‘Ray and Reirden’s Rooters' also set for remainder of 2004-05 season

HOUSTON, Texas – Houston Aeros players and doctors have combined to purchase more than 700 tickets to Thursday’s 7:05 p.m. game versus the San Antonio Rampage, and the tickets have been donated to local children’s charities to make Christmas week special for Houston-area kids. Among the many beneficiaries Thursday are Houston Achievement Place, DePelchin Children’s Center and Community Family Center. In addition, the Aeros are proud to announce “Ray and Reirden’s Rooters” will be seated in section 124 for each remaining Aeros regular season game this season. Ray and Reirden's Rooters will allow underpriviledged children to see hockey games and get a special gift and personal interaction with a player.

It’s easy to get involved in the Aeros’ “Tickets for Kids” program. Companies and individuals have an opportunity to purchase large blocks of discounted tickets to donate to the charity of their choice. You’ll receive a letter of recognition, in-game public address announcement and scoreboard recognition, an article and logo on aeros.com, and you’ll get to drop the ceremonial puck on game night. Please call Mike Krompf at 713.361.7919 for information on how to be a “Tickets for Kids” donor.

Thursday is also an Aeros “Happy Hour”. Get a corner "Aeros Happy Hour" ticket plus free parking for just $15, and enjoy pre- and post-game drink specials ($1 well drinks and drafts) at The Bus II across from Toyota Center. Or, get a center ice seat, free parking, $10 in Toyota Bucks and pre- and post-game drink specials at The Bus II for $30. Call 713.974.PUCK to order, or order online at www.aeros.com/themenights. In 304 career junior games, Rooneem tallied 134 points (62-72=134) and 357 penalty minutes. The 21-year-old was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the fourth-round (No. 115 overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
