MINNESOTA WILD REASSIGNS THREE PLAYERS TO HOUSTON AEROS
SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned C Erik Westrum, D Erik Reitz and G Miroslav Kopriva to the American Hockey Leagues (AHL) Houston Aeros.
Westrum, 26 (7/26/79), was recalled for the second time this season on April 12. In 10 games with Minnesota he collected one assist, 16 shots on goal and averaged 10:46 of ice-time. The All-AHL First team performer is still second in the AHL in scoring with a career-best 96 points (33-63=96).
Reitz, 23 (7/29/82), was recalled by the Wild on April 6 and collected four penalty minutes and averaged 13:09 of ice-time in five games. He made his NHL debut at Calgary on April 7. Reitz has posted 28 points (5-23=28) and 125 penalty minutes in 71 games for Houston.
Kopriva, 22 (12/5/83), was recalled by Minnesota on April 14 and did not play in the Wilds regular season finale at Dallas. Kopriva is 6-4-1 with a 3.51 gaa for the Aeros this season.
