The entertainment team, named Strike Force, will perform various on-ice stunts and antics during the pre-game, intermission, post-game, and time-out shows. They will encourage fan excitement through, T-shirt tosses, fun give-aways, and other fan involving activities. The dance team, named Sonic Boom, will perform choreographed dance routines at all weekend home games. They will also participate in Aeros community events during the regular season.

Houston Aeros Vice President of Marketing and Communication, Sandy Kirk said, “We have a lot of new and fun audience participation events this season. We developed these teams based on comments from surveys we received from our season ticket holders and dedicated fans. An overwhelming majority wanted more interaction and give-aways. We have a very talented and devoted game day staff who will provide new elements to our games. This is a great time to be an Aeros fan.”

The new teams will make their debut at the Aeros Open House and on opening weekend. The Open House is scheduled for 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30 in the Toyota Center. Opening weekend is on Friday, October 24 and Sunday, October 26.
