SHAWN BELLE REASSIGNED TO HOUSTON AEROS
SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned defenseman Shawn Belle to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Belle, 22 (1/3/85), was recalled by Minnesota for the third time this season on Feb. 3 and registered a hit and two shots on goal in 10:32 of ice time in Saturday’s game at Phoenix. The 6-foot-2, 238-pound defenseman has notched one assist and a +4 rating in nine games with the Wild this season averaging 9:56 in ice time. The Edmonton, Alberta-native made his NHL debut Dec. 1 against Detroit and tallied his first NHL point the following night with an assist at Dallas on Dec. 2.
The Aeros host Omaha on Tuesday and Thursday at 7:05 p.m. Both games are a Maple Leaf Pub Happy Hour.
