HOUSTON, Texas – Houston Aeros General Manager Tom Lynn announced today the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed center Craig Valette to a professional tryout offer (PTO). The Aeros have also reassigned John Adams to Corpus Christi of the CHL and Dane Crowley to ECHL Phoenix.

Valette, 26 (10/7/82), has played two games so far this season for the ECHL’s Stockton Thunder where he recorded three points (two goals, one assist) and four penalty minutes (PIM). The 6-foot-1, 200 pound native of Shellbrook, SK, has played a total of 328 games in the AHL split between the Cleveland Barons and, most recently, the Worcester Sharks from 2003-08. Valette has recorded a total of 36 goals and 44 assists for 80 points in the AHL.  His best season was his first with Worcester during the 2006-07 campaign in which he tallied 26 points (15-11=26).

Adams, 25 (12/21/82), played in four games with the Aeros this season recording one assist and four PIMs prior to being reassigned to the Corpus Christi IceRays.

Crowley, 21 (1/22/87), recorded three points (2-1=3) and eight PIMs in five games with Houston this season. Crowley, a sixth round (No. 168 overall) 2006 draft pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning, was reassigned to the Phoenix Roadrunners of the ECHL.

The Houston Aeros take to the road for a five-game trip starting this Friday, November 7 at Hamilton and ending on Friday, November 14 at Lake Erie. The Aeros next home game is Sunday, November 16 against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in a Family Day game. Call 866-GO-AEROS for tickets or visit AEROS.com.
