MINNESOTA WILD RECALLS JOHN SCOTT FROM AHL HOUSTON
HOUSTON, Texas – Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman John Scott from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Scott, 26 (9/26/82), has appeared in five games with the Wild this season, averaging 8:47 TOI/game and making his NHL debut Jan. 3 against Detroit. The 6-foot-8, 258-pound native of St. Catharines, Ont., has four points (2-2=4) and 111 PIM in 44 games with the Aeros this season. Scott has 13 points (6-7=13) and 402 PIM in 173 games in three seasons with Houston. Scott played college hockey at Michigan Tech.
He was originally signed as a free agent by the Wild on December 31, 2006. Scott wears No. 36 with the Wild.
