The Aeros (6-6-0-0) make their first regular season trip to Cedar Park Center tonight to take on their intra-state rival Texas Stars (7-2-0-2). The Stars defeated the Aeros 5-1 in Houston back on Oct. 17 to take a 2-1-0-0 lead in the season and all-time series between the two teams. With a victory over San Antonio Friday, the Stars took over the lead in the Lone Star Faceoff standings with nine points (4-1-0-1). The Aeros are in second place with eight points (4-2-0-0) and the Rampage are in third with four points (1-2-2-0). Tonight's meeting will be the fourth of 12 this season for the Stars and Aeros. AEROS NOTES
The Aeros currently sit in a tie for third place in the West Division with the Rockford IceHogs with 12 points (6-6-0-0).

The Stars currently hold the lead in the Lone Star Faceoff Standings with nine points (4-1-0-1) with the Aeros in second position with eight points (4-2-0-0) and the Rampage in third with four points (1-2-2-0).

Wade Dubielewicz is 1-2-0 with a 2.29 GAA and 0.915 SV % since taking over as the Aeros starting goaltender after Anton Khudobin was recalled to Minnesota.

Forwards J-M Daoust (2-4=6) and Robbie Earl (4-2=6) lead the Aeros with six points. Earl leads the team with four goals after netting a goal in Friday’s game against Grand Rapids.

All but two of the Aeros 12 games this season have been decided by two goals or less including one overtime win and two wins via shootout.

The Aeros penalty kill currently ranks second in the American Hockey League stopping 40 of 42 chances (95.2%) during the opening 12 games of the season.

The Stars are unbeaten in regulation in their last four games (3-0-0-1).

Texas Goalie Matt Climie has returned to the Stars after being recalled to Dallas (NHL) Friday. Climie, a former Aeros, is 0-0-1 against Houston with a 0.92 GAA and a 0.998 SV %.

The Stars rank second in the AHL  in goals allowed at 1.82 goals per game.

The Stars rank 23rd in the AHL in goals scored with 2.64 goals per game.
