HOUSTON – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned right wing Danny Irmen and center Nathan Smith to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Irmen, 25 (9/6/84), was recalled by Minnesota Nov. 18 and made his NHL debut that night against the Phoenix Coyotes. He was scoreless in two games with the Wild averaging 4:38 of ice time.
Smith, 27 (2/9/82), was recalled by the Wild Nov. 20 and logged 6:10 of ice time and recorded five penalty minutes against the New York Islanders. In seven games with Minnesota this season he has registered 10 penalty minutes and averaged 8:24 in ice time.
The Aeros begin a three-game road trip Wednesday at Hamilton, 6:30 PM (CST) at Copps Coliseum. Houston returns Thursday, December 3, 11:05 AM at Toyota Center for their annual kids game. For more information call (713) 974-PUCK.
