GAMEDAY: AEROS AT MILWAUKEE TONIGHT

The Aeros take on the West Division leading Milwaukee Admirals tonight, 7 p.m. at the Bradley Center. The Aeros are coming off a 5-2 loss to Chicago Wednesday from Allstate Arena, which snapped a three-game winning streak. The Admirals have lost two straight including a 4-1 loss last night to Hamilton. Tonight is the fourth of eight meetings between the two teams this year. Their next match-up will come next Friday; a 7 p.m. puck drop at the Bradley Center. AEROS NOTES

Tight Race - Seven points separate the fifth place Aeros from the top spot currently held by Milwaukee. Houston is five points out of the fourth and final playoff spot in the West.

Road Trip - Tonight is the fourth of a season-high five-game road trip for the Aeros. Houston holds a 10-9-3-1 record in games away from Toyota Center.

Squadron Leaders - With a third period goal Wednesday in Chicago, RW J-M Daoust tied D Maxim Noreau for the team-lead with his 37th point this season. Daoust also tied fellow RW Jon DiSalvatore for the club lead with his 16th goal. Noreau still leads the team with 24 assists and LW Matt Kassian's 96 PIM tops Aeros skaters.

Powerful Play - The Aeros have scored at least one power play goal in each of their last four games going 10 of 24 on the man-advantage. Houston has the league's best road power play unit converting 23 of 97 for 23.7%.

Milestones - DiSalvatore is five games away from his 500th pro game (490 AHL, 5 NHL). LW Colton Gillies is two games away from his 100th pro game (53 AHL, 45 NHL).

Working Overtime - The Aeros have played in 14 games that have gone beyond regulation this season, including a 5-4 overtime win at Abbotsford Saturday. Only Bridgeport (17) has played more. Of the 14 games, 11 have ended in the overtime session (most in the AHL). The Aeros are 5-6 in overtime games and 2-1 in shootouts.

Player of the Week - Noreau earned Reebok/AHL Player of the Week honors for his efforts in Abbotsford this past week. Noreau tied a franchise-record with five points (2-3=5) in Friday's 7-1 win over the Heat. The following night, Noreau added a goal and an assist in a 5-4 overtime win over the Heat bringing his weekend total to seven total points.
