The Houston Aeros host the Peoria Rivermen tonight, 7:05 p.m. at Toyota Center. The Aeros came back from a four-goal third period deficit to defeat Peoria 5-4 in a shootout their last meeting. Houston has since defeated the Abbotsford Heat 3-1 in their return to Toyota Center Monday while the Rivermen fell 2-1 to the Texas Stars in yet another shootout the night after falling to the Aeros. AEROS NOTES

Tight Division - The Aeros enter tonight's game four points out of the fourth and final playoff spot in the West Division occupied by Chicago. Only eight points separate the top five teams in the division. Overall, the Aeros are 12-14-5-0 against divisional foes including a 2-1-0-0 mark vs. Peoria.


Squadron Leaders - RW Jon DiSalvatore scored twice Saturay at Peoria to bring his goal total to a team-leading 18. D Maxim Noreau also scored and added two helpers against the Rivermen as he leads the club with 40 points and 26 assists. LW Matt Kassian continues to lead the Aeros with 101 PIM.


Milestones - C Peter Zingoni's next game will be his 200th in the AHL. DiSalvatore is two games away from his 500th pro game and seven games away from his 500th AHL contest (493 AHL, 5 NHL). Noreau is five points away from his 100th AHL point.


Home vs. Road - The Aeros rank 26th in the AHL on the power play at home converting 15 of 116 (12.9%). On the road, Houston ranks number one in the league on the man advantage converting on 24 of 107 opportunities (22.4%).


Slow starters - The Aeros have scored only 28 first period goals this season. Only Adirondack (26) has scored fewer.


Working Overtime - The Aeros have played in 15 games that have gone beyond regulation this season, including a 5-4 shootout win at Peoria Saturday. Only Bridgeport (19) has played more. Of the 15 games, 11 have ended in the overtime session (most in the AHL). The Aeros are 5-6 in overtime games and 3-1 in shootouts. Of their six OTL, five have come against West Division opponents.


Streaking - The Aeros are currently riding a season-high six-game home point streak (4-0-2-0).
