AEROS EXTEND WINNING STREAK TO THREE

HOUSTON --- Joel Broda and Maxim Noreau scored in regulation while Jon DiSalvatore had the deciding goal in the shootout as the Houston Aeros extended their winning streak to three games in a 3-2 victory over the Toronto Marlies in front of 8,477 fans Friday night at Toyota Center.

Anton Khudobin turned aside 34 shots in the win as the Aeros improve to 5-5-1-0.

Houston, which is now 5-0-0-0 when leading after the first period, took a 2-0 lead out of the opening 20 minutes on Broda's fourth of the season, on the power play, at 4:49. Noreau scored his second of the season at the 14:15 mark. 

Toronto's Ryan Hamilton cut the lead in half 1:45 into the third and then Mike Brennan knotted the score with 5:02 remaining.

DiSalvatore followed up Jarod Palmer in the shootout to give the Aeros the win. Khudobin stopped three of four Toronto shootout bids.

The Aeros visit Oklahoma City Saturday night and then travel to Abbotsford for games vs. the Heat on Monday and Tuesday. They return home to face the Chicago Wolves on Wednesday, November 17.
