OVERVIEW
The Houston Aeros (7-6-1-2, 17 pts.) play host to the Chicago Wolves (6-10-1-0, 13 pts.) for the first of four meetings this season and the first of two in four days; the teams meet again Saturday in Chicago. The Aeros are coming off a five-game road trip in which they went 2-1-0-2 and last played Sunday in a 5-2 win at Peoria. Chicago has dropped six in a row and fell 8-2 at Texas last night. Tonight closes eight in a row away from home for the Wolves; they won the first game of the trip at Lake Erie, a 6-5 shootout, but have been outscored 30-11 in the last six games. The Aeros are two points out of third place in the West Division; Chicago and Rockford are tied for the last spot in the West and are three points behind Texas for the No. 5 spot.

MOVIN' ON UP --- The Aeros have already had seven callups up to Minnesota (Gillies, Wellman, Kassian, Almond-2x, Scandella, Earl).
BUSY KHUDOBIN --- Anton Khudobin has started six of the last eight games, is 4-1-1 and has stopped 166 of 178 (.932) in that span.
HACKETT BREAKS SLUMP --- Matt Hackett earned his first win since Oct. 15 with a 21-save outing Nov. 14 in a 5-2 victory at PEO. Hackett was 0-3-1 between wins.
SCORE EARLY! --- The Aeros are 6-0-0-2 when leading after 20 minutes and 1-3-0-0 when trailing after the opening period.

LAST GAME QUICK RECAP
Three Aeros collected multiple points, including defenseman Maxim Noreau who had a goal and two assists, and the Houston Aeros scored five times in the second period en route to a 5-2 win over the Peoria Rivermen Sunday at Carver Arena. The win snapped a three-game Houston winless skid and closed a five-game road trip at 2-1-0-2. Carson McMillan and Jared Spurgeon each added a goal and an assist and Matt Hackett made 21 saves for his first win since Oct. 15 and third overall this season.
