MINNESOTA WILD RECALLS MARCO SCANDELLA FROM HOUSTON
HOUSTON --- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Marco Scandella from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Scandella, 20 (2/23/90), has one assist and two penalty minutes (PIM) in five games for the Wild this season. He made his NHL debut Nov. 12 at Florida. The 6-foot-3, 217-pound native of Montreal, Quebec, has recorded 11 points (1-10=11), 15 PIM and a +1 rating in 26 games with the Aeros this season. Scandella was originally selected by Minnesota in the second round (No. 55 overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Houston returns home Dec. 21, against Hamilton at 7:05 p.m. Fans who bring a toy to help support the Bay Star Ambulance/MD Anderson Cancer Center Toy Drive will receive two tickets to the Aeros game on New Year’s Day. Look for the Bay Star Ambulance at La Branch and Clay Streets near the Toyota Center Box Office to drop off toys.
