AEROS HOME OPENER IS SUNDAY
The Aeros open the 2011-12 hockey season on Sunday, October 9 at Toyota Center with a 5:05 p.m. puck drop against the Chicago Wolves. The first 5,000 fans will receive an Aeros magnetic schedule. In addition, the entire Aeros team will be announced prior to the game, which also features the team wearing its new uniforms for the first time. A variety of activites, from face-painting to martial arts demonstrations, are planned to make the first Aeros Sunday Family Funday an event!

WILD ASSIGNS NYSTROM
The Minnesota Wild assigned center Eric Nystrom to the Aeros on Friday. He has played in 286 NHL games with the Wild and Calgary Flames.

AEROS BROADCASTS BACK ON 1070 KNTH
Aeros broadcasts return to News Talk 1070 KNTH this season. The Salem Communications-owned station will carry most Aeros games in their entirety. Fans can listen to games on terrestrial radio, online at Aeros.com and via smartphone on the free TuneIn Radio app (search for Houston, then 1070 KNTH). Joe O’Donnell is back as the play-by-play voice of the Aeros for his fourth season.

AEROS PRACTICE SCHEDULE
The Aeros practice at Sugar Land Ice and Sports on Lexington Blvd. in Sugar Land every day this week, including Saturday, starting at 10:30 a.m. Fans are welcome to attend practice sessions. The schedule is subject to change without notice.

MEDIA AVAILABILITY
Media availability is immediately following practice as players exit the ice. Most practices run about an hour.

PROMOTION CALENDAR
The 2011-12 Aeros promotional calendar is available online at
Aeros.com. Highlights include Banner Night, Sunday Family Funday ticket packs, $1 hot dog night, Aeros Wearable Blanket Night, Dean and Rog Bobblehead Weekend and more. The schedule is subject to change without notice, plus new events will be added throughout the season.

BANNER CEREMONY ON OCT. 15
On Saturday, Oct. 15, the Aeros will unveil their 2010-11 AHL Western Conference Championship banner prior to the game. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive replica banners.

TOYOTA CENTER ROAD CONSTRUCTION ADVISORY
Due to recent construction surrounding Toyota Center, we encourage all guests to allow extra time for parking or visiting the box office. The following is a list of lane closures surrounding Toyota Center: Polk St. – (3) lanes closed from Crawford St. to La Branch St., La Branch St. – (3) lanes closed from Dallas St. to Hadley St., Bell St. – (2) lanes closed from Jackson St. to La Branch St. During events there will be no left turns allowed from Polk St. onto La Branch St. If you have any questions or concerns please email Guest Services at guestservices@rocketball.com.
