Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill today announced that the team has signed forward Harrison Reed to a professional tryout contract (PTO).

AEROS SIGN HARRISON REED TO PTO
HOUSTON (NOVEMBER 30, 2011) --- Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill today announced that the team has signed forward Harrison Reed to a professional tryout contract (PTO).
Reid, 23 (1/28/88), joins the Aeros after spending time this season with both the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL) and Toledo Walleye (ECHL). In four games with Lake Erie, he posted two assists. The native of Newmarket, Ont., registered 10 points (3-7=10) in 11 games with Toledo, good for fourth in scoring at the time of his recall.
Reed split last season between Lake Erie and Tulsa of the (Central Hockey League). Harrison has appeared in 178 games over the course of three professional seasons at the AHL level. In total, Reed has collected 31 goals and 36 assists in a total of 216 pro games.
The 6-foot-1, 188-pound forward was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the third round (93rd overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
The Aeros visit the Lake Erie Monsters on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. (CST).
