AEROS POSTGAME REPORT
MARCH 31: HAM 3, HOU 2 (OT).

HOUSTON ---
Matt Hackett's 31 saves weren't enough as the Houston Aeros fell 3-2 in overtime to the Hamilton Bulldogs Saturday night at Toyota Center.

The Aeros hold the No. 7 spot in the eight team Western Conference playoff race with a three point advantage over Rochester, Peoria and Lake Erie with six games remaining.
 
Brian Willsie scored the tying goal for Hamilton with 9:12 left in regulation and then bagged the game-winner 2:02 into overtime.

Chad Rau staked Houston to a 1-0 lead with his 12th goal of the season at the 1:10 mark of the first period. Nick Palmieri and Carson McMillan notched the assists. Hamilton knotted the score at 1-1 with a goal by Phillippe Lefebvre 2:58 later.

Palmieri recorded his second goal as an Aero and second in as many games just 1:24 into the third period, with McMillan and Chay Genoway earning the helpers.

The Aeros continue a five-game homestand and begin a home three-in-three set next Friday against the Chicago Wolves at 7:35 p.m. at Toyota Center.

BOMB DROPPINGS
The start of the game was delayed by an hour due to an ice-making equipment issue at Toyota Center... Chad Rau's goal in the first period was his second in the last five games... Carson McMillan's assist on Rau's goal snapped a run of 15 games without a point... Nick Palmieri's assist on Rau's goal was his second point in as many games and first assist as an Aero.
