The Houston Aeros Charities/Community Relations intern is responsible for assisting each department carry out day to day duties during the regular and off seasons. Eligible candidates will receive college credit along with working knowledge of sports marketing. Internships are required to last a minimum of six (6) weeks.
The position will be responsible for (and not limited to) the following:
Coordinate all donation requests
Assist in coordinating fundraising events
Develop databases for all requests and events
Coordinate Tickets for Kids program
Game day activation: Auctions, In-game announcements, Promotions, Coordination of caused based drives. Ie., toy drive, food drive etc.
Develop and execute community relations initiative; school/hospital visits etc.
Work with marketing department on all season related campaigns
Assist with marketing and sales department as needed
Strong organizational skills
Microsoft, PowerPoint, Excel knowledge is an asset
Flexible hours
