JESSICA COLSTON TO CAPTAIN SONIC BOOM IN 2005-06

University of Houston graduate selected to lead Aeros entertainment team

HOUSTON, Texas – The Houston Aeros have named University of Houston graduate Jessica Colston the captain of their Sonic Boom entertainment team for the 2005-06 season.

The 23-year-old Colston will join dozens of Sonic Boom hopefuls for the first round of auditions on Saturday, June 18, at 10 a.m. at Kicks Indoor at 611 Shepherd Dr. Click here for more information on tryouts. Applications are due by June 16.

Colston attended Nacogdoches High School and earned a Sociology degree at the University of Houston. She was a member of the University of Houston Cougar Dancers from 2001-03, and captained the squad in 2002-03. Colston was part of Sonic Boom in 2004-05.

“Jessica is a hard worker and a very enthusiastic individual,” said Aeros vice president of marketing and communications Sandy Kirk. “With those two qualities, she will bring the Sonic Boom team to a different level.”

“I’d like Sonic Boom to be more involved in the community,” Colston added. “I would like for each girl to establish their charity and be more involved in it, whether it be helping the homeless or rescuing animals.”
