Privacy PolicyThe policies below are applicable to the
www.aeros.com website maintained by the Houston Aeros and Infinity Pro Sports. The Houston Aeros are committed to both protecting the privacy of users of its interactive products and services and providing those users with as many opportunities and services as possible. Throughout cyberspace, we want to contribute to providing a safe and secure environment for users, and in particular, ensure that kids' information is protected. If you don't find your concern addressed here, feel free to contact us by e-mail

What Personal Information Do We Collect?(a) Personally Identifiable Information
The Houston Aeros collects personal information during (i) personal profile, contest or sweepstakes registration, (ii) subscription registration for services that require a subscription (iii) certain surveys or polls conducted on our website and (iv) online shopping. Personal information includes, among other things, a users name, credit card number, address, telephone number, date of birth, gender, email address or other internet address (collectively referred to as 'personal information'). In addition, registration is required and personal information is collected in certain other portions of the service in which users specifically and knowingly provide such information along with content submissions, community postings (i.e., chat or bulletin boards), suggestions, information requests or voting.
(b) Non-Personally Identifiable Information
In addition to the use of personal information to operate the Houston Aeros website, the Aeros may also gather non-personally identifiable information, which may be used by the Houston Aeros. Generally 'non-personally identifiable information' means information that is collected through 'traffic data' and may entail the use of 'Cookies', 'IP addresses' or other numeric codes used to identify a computer or monitor how a user accesses a website. This non-personally identifiable information helps us determine how our customers use the site, so we can improve our site and ensure that it is as appealing as we can make it for as many of you as possible. We also provide statistical 'ratings' information to our Houston Aeros corporate partners about how our members, collectively, use www.aeros.com. We do this so they too can understand how people use our site in order for them to make business decisions directed towards providing you with the best possible experience. This information is also used to generate advertising rates, and may be shared with advertisers, sponsors, and other Houston Aeros corporate partners. For example, we may disclose to advertisers that www.aeros.com's online audience is x percent male and y percent female.
(c) How To Contact Us To Prevent Disclosure of Personal Information
If you do NOT want your personal information maintained in our database and/or subject to disclosure to third parties, please send an email to
webmaster@aeros.com your personal information will remain confidential. In the event that you supply the Minnesota Wild with personal information and later that information changes, or if you change your mind and decide not to make such information available to Minnesota Wild's select business partners, you may correct, update, or remove the personal information you give us. You can do this by contacting our Internet Service's department at
webmaster@aeros.com.
Information We Ask About YouWe may specifically ask for personal information about you when you sign up to use a service or when you order a product. We will need certain information -- such as name, email address or screen name, billing address, type of computer, credit card number -- in order to provide that service or product to you. We also may ask you for information about your interests and other personal information so that both you and we can take advantage of the interactivity of the Internet, but you may always choose whether to respond or not.
How We Use the InformationWe NEVER disclose credit card or related transactional information to third parties not involved in your transaction. The Houston Aeros reserve the right to use, store, provide or disclose personal information collected during your individual visits to our site and the information that you may give us, such as your name, address, email address, date of birth, gender or telephone number. In many cases our use or disclosure would be an added benefit to you. For example, if you sign up to receive information on contests and promotions through our Aeros E-Newsletter we may use your personal information to offer discount coupons for services or related products. You may contact us at any time in order to direct us to remove your information from future mailings. Any use, storage, provision or disclosure of your personal information by the Houston Aeros will be made in strict compliance with any applicable laws.
The Houston Aeros may also disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) conform to applicable law or comply with legal process served on the Houston Aeros or the website; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of the Houston Aeros, the site or the users of www.aeros.com, and (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Minnesota Wild, the site or the public. Policies for Children Under 13
Safeguarding the personal information of children is extremely important to us. We encourage parents and guardians to spend time online with their children and to participate in the interactive activities offered on the site. As to children under 13 who use the Houston Aeros website, Houston Aeros do not provide any personally identifiable information, regardless of its source, to any third party for any purpose whatsoever. When a child under 13 wishes to register or access the site, he or she will immediately be directed to a consent form to be completed by a parent or guardian. The Houston Aeros will only accept the child's personal information if the parent completes the form granting the child access to the site. The Houston Aeros will also send an email to the parent or guardian to confirm the consent.
Here is how that process will work. All users who register on the website receive an e-mail confirming their registration. When a child under 13 registers (submits personal information), the child is required to get his or her parent or guardian's permission to use the website and to submit the email address of his or her parent or guardian. After the child has registered with his parents consent, the parent or guardian will then receive an email alerting them to that registration and providing instructions on how the parent can delete any personal information, such as the child's email address, that the Houston Aeros have retained and instructing Houston Aeros not to allow the child to use the website. If the parent or guardian asks the Houston Aeros to delete the child's personal information, the child will not be able to access the website.
No information collected from users under 13 years of age is used for any marketing or promotional purpose whatsoever, either inside or outside of the Houston Aeros. We do not allow children under 13 years of age to be listed in any member directories or to receive direct marketing communications from the Minnesota Wild or other third parties. Houston Aeros may, however, collect certain personally identifying information to protect the integrity of the website and the safety of children under 13 using the site. In the event Houston Aeros collects such information, the information will be deleted from the Houston Aeros systems as soon as possible.
Even after a parent or guardian has given his or her consent for a child to use www.aeros.com, the parent or guardian may at anytime contact our Customer Service department to review, alter or delete previously disclosed personal information. In order to review or revoke consent to use the website or to delete previously disclosed personal information, you may email the Houston Aeros’ Internet Services department at
webmaster@aeros.com.
There are a number of emerging standards in the area of children's privacy that will affect how we process a child's personal information in the future. We are monitoring these changes and will redesign our systems in order to comply with these new requirements.
