Josh Young

Amateur Hockey Coordinator

Biography:

Josh Young is in his fourth season with the Aeros serving as Amateur Hockey Coordinator joining the team in December of 2007. Josh previously worked as a general manager in the food service industry in his native Indiana.

Josh graduated from Game Face Sports Academy after playing football for the Ball State University Cardinals as a walk-on after playing for two Indiana state championship high school football teams and one state runner-up. Josh also served as a football coach after college for five years.

Josh has already made an impact on the Aeros and the AHL as he was awarded the AHL’s Most Unique Promotion by the formation of the Houston Hockey Series. The Hockey Series is an adult amateur hockey league that plays in conjunction with the Aeros at Toyota Center. Josh also created houstonhockeyinsider.com as a way for local hockey leagues and rinks to promote each other and share information as well as organizing the first amateur hockey tournament at Toyota Center which has grown in popularity and became an annual event.

Josh enjoys working out and playing basketball and football in his spare time and is an avid Notre Dame football fan.
